The problem
Two people wear the same shirt. One produces three times the work. Guess what happens when they're paid the same?
Clock puncher
Shows up for the hours.
Top producer
Shows up to move the needle.
This isn't about punishing slow employees. It's about recognizing performance — so your best people have a reason to stay.
The big idea
The idea is simple: when pay follows production, more work gets done — which means more revenue for you, a bigger paycheck for the tech, and a reason for your rock stars to stick around. One flywheel. Five steps.
Step 1
Techs see their numbers daily and know exactly how their week is going.
Step 2
Jobs-per-day climbs because every job matters to the paycheck.
Step 3
Pay reflects what they produced — a strong week is a bigger check.
Step 4
A-players finally see the upside at your shop. They stop shopping around.
Step 5
More output per crew means revenue grows without new headcount.
Owner visibility
Real screens from a real tenant. The owner finally sees what each crew is actually worth — every week.

Retention
A-players stay when they see their check go up on big weeks. No upside, no loyalty — simple as that.
Every tech sees exactly how their week was calculated — hours, jobs, commission, deductions. No mystery pay-stub arguments.
The tech running four jobs today should out-earn the tech running one. The math finally works that way.
When pay grows with output, techs act like partners instead of applicants — and start thinking long-term.
Culture
Every tech sees how their day stacks up. Nobody coasts — because the whole crew sees the board.
Signed daily submissions, GPS-verified punches, admin approvals. No he-said-she-said on Friday.
Techs who get a cut of production care about the job. Repeat work and referrals go up with them.
When the whole shop wins together, lead techs train juniors — because stronger teammates mean stronger weeks.

How we're different
| What matters | Traditional payroll | Production Pay Tracker |
|---|---|---|
| How pay is calculated | Hours × hourly rate. One formula, one bucket. | Higher of hourly OR commission against the invoices they produced — automatic every week. |
| What gets rewarded | Showing up on time. | Showing up on time AND the production you ran. |
| What the owner sees | Timesheets and gross pay. | Production per tech, revenue per labor hour, deductions, and which pay bucket won — weekly. |
| What the technician sees | Hours and a pay rate. | Hours, jobs, commission %, deductions, net pay — their whole week in one screen. |
| Field vs desk fit | Designed for office workers at a desk. | Designed for crews running trucks — mobile-first, GPS, pre-trip inspections included. |
Traditional payroll keeps the books clean. We keep the people. You'll want both — and we export cleanly to every major payroll provider so you can.
Common questions
Straight answers. If we missed something, the trial is free for 14 days with no card required — try it and see.
Starter is $39.99/mo for up to 3 active employees, Pro is $79.99/mo for up to 10, and Business is $199/mo for unlimited. Every plan includes the full production-pay engine, signed PDF paystubs, payroll CSV export, and the admin dashboard. The exact plan list and features are shown in the pricing section above and below — those cards come straight from our billing config, not hard-coded on this page.
On day 15 your account becomes read-only — you keep every record and can still log in and export, but adding, editing, inviting, and importing are paused until you pick a plan. Pick Starter, Pro, or Business from the billing screen any time (even during the trial) and full access turns back on instantly. Your data is never deleted.
No. The 14-day trial is free with no credit card. We ask for a card only when you choose to upgrade, and Stripe handles it from there. We never see or store the card on our servers.
During the trial there's nothing to cancel — no card is on file. After you upgrade, cancel in one click from the billing screen and you keep access through the end of the paid month.
Every week, the app runs two calculations for each tech — what they'd earn on pure hourly, and what they'd earn on commission against the invoices they produced. You pay whichever is higher. Strong weeks reward the hustle; slow weeks are still covered by their guaranteed hourly floor. No tech ever loses money, your best people see a real upside, and payroll never costs you more than production supports.
That's the fear everyone has. In practice the opposite happens: when a tech owns a piece of production, callbacks come out of their own commission on the re-work and their reputation on the crew board drops. Daily admin approval, job photos, and signed submissions make quality visible — not just speed. Rock stars are already careful; this just rewards the carefulness.
No — think of it as the layer between your field crew and your payroll provider. We handle production tracking, hours, commission math, deductions, tips, bonuses, and signed PDF paystubs. Then we export a clean CSV mapped to QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, Patriot, Paychex, or any system. You still run tax filing through your existing provider.
No. Every employee's pay method is set individually — some can be pure hourly, some pure commission, and some on the higher-of-two. Start with one or two leads to prove it out, keep the rest on hourly, and expand when you're comfortable.
Yes. All production pay flows through gross wages before withholdings, with federal, state, local, and FICA calculated against the new gross. Overtime follows FLSA rules (we handle the half-time premium automatically on commission paths). State-specific daily OT rules for California, Colorado, Alaska, and Nevada are baked in. Signed paystubs are locked and archived with a full audit trail.
Yes — every tech on the higher-of-two method is guaranteed at least their hourly rate × hours worked (plus any OT). The app only pays commission when commission is bigger. Nobody ever earns less than straight hourly.
Every paystub shows the full breakdown — hours, jobs, commission %, deductions, taxes, net pay. Techs sign in-app before the stub locks. If they spot a problem, they flag it, you reopen the pay period from the admin side, fix it, and re-sign. Full audit log of every change.
Yes. Per-paystub tax toggle — flip withholdings off for a 1099 contractor and the paystub still tracks hours, jobs, commission, and a signed acknowledgment, but skips the tax lines. One app handles both your W-2 crew and your 1099 subs.
Built by a real operator
This app didn't come out of a venture-backed payroll startup. It came out of a pressure-washing shop with a growing crew, a Friday-night paper-payroll habit, and one too many conversations where the best tech wanted to know why he was paid the same as the slowest guy. We built it for ourselves first. Then we gave it to other owners.
